You’ve read the book. You’ve made notes on the book. You’ve talked about the book. You’ve chosen a topic and you’ve conducted some research on that topic.
You are now ready to write about the book. Review the literary analysis rubric to guide your work.
Have a look at some models from other senior English courses.
Note that the above blogs are about 500 words in length. They use MLA formatting. These analyses do not include secondary sources, but if you check your rubric, you are not being assessed on that part. This assignment provides you with the opportunity to try your hand at incorporating evidence from secondary sources into your writing.
Tomorrow, we move on to the persuasive essay.
